A dermatologist is a physician trained to provide medical and surgical care for diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Dr. Kosarek is a dermatologist with a strong medical background, with expertise in cosmetic procedures and high standards when prescribing products. She has practiced dermatology for nearly 20 years. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kosarek is the only female board certified dermatologist in the El Paso area.

In 1984, Dr. Kosarek received her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. This was followed by internship in internal medicine at Brown University in Province, Rhode Island in 1985. And in 1988, Dr. Kosarek completed her dermatology residency at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She was an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Medical College of Ohio and had a private Dermatology practice there from 1988 until 1992. Dr. Kosarek has practiced dermatology in El Paso since 1992.
 
Dr. Kosarek is married and has three children.
