Acne
Based on the severity and type of acne, Dr. Kosarek may recommend microderm-abrasion, Smooth Beam laser treatments or a glycolic peel. All procedures result in an improved complexion and minimize acne. Dr. Kosarek may first, or in addition of treatments, prescribe medication and/or skin care products for preventative maintenance.

Aesthetic Skin Care
Proper skin care can slow the effects of aging and sun damage, as well as enhance the improvement achieved after in office procedures. Dr. Kosarek offers several lines of skin care products that have been shown to offer significant improvement in the aging of skin.
 
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are often used to treat fine lines, wrinkles and shallow scars. Products such as Radiesse, Perlane, Restylane, Juviderm Ultra and Ultra Plus are a few to choose from. Results are instantaneous and long lasting. Both collagen and hyaluronic acid are normal components of the skin that decrease with aging, creating wrinkles.
 
BOTOX Cosmetic
Botox Cosmetic is a fast, simple and very effective way to reduce wrinkles that are dynamic expression lines caused by muscle action that develop over years. It is particularly effective in eliminating or reducing crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines between the eyebrows (glabella), and forehead lines. The procedure takes only a few minutes with little discomfort. The effects last for 4-6 months. Botox is a registered trademark of Allergan, Inc. 
 
Brown Spots
Discolored spots caused by the sun, age, hormones or pregnancy can be evened out by glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or TCA peels, microderm-abrasion or laser appropriate method of treatment. Typically multiple spots can be treated during treatment. Depending on the type of spot or spots, Dr. Kosarek will choose an one office visit and with very little discomfort.

Facial Vein Treatments
Spider veins on the face caused by rosacea, sun damage and other causes can be treated easily with laser therapy. The procedure offers minimal pain and unlikelihood of scarring.
 
Hair Removal
Laser hair removal for men and women has the ability to permanently reduce hair growth and treat a wide range of skin colors and hair types. It requires a series of treatments and is a safe, easy and effective way to remove unwanted hair on virtually any body part permanently.

Leg Vein Treatment 
Dr. Kosarek can also treat spider veins using laser. Through the use of very high energy light, the laser targets a vein and “vaporizes” it safely, easily, and effectively. Multiple treatments are often necessary for the best results! Dr. Kosarek treats spider and certain varicose veins with sclerotherapy, often the best treatment option. Veins are injected using a sclerosing solution, causing them to fade away. After examination of the veins, Dr Kosarek will determine which method of treatment, laser or sclerotherapy, is most suitable for you. Laser provides successful removal of spider veins on face or legs in a procedure that offers minimal pain and unlikelihood of scarring. 
 
Microderm-abrasion
Microderm-abrasion uses medical grade crystals to remove dead, outermost layer of skin. The skin exfoliation process reveals the new living skin cells that are soft, smooth and receptive to nutrients. Microderm-abrasion is commonly used to treat and or diminish: blackheads and whiteheads, fines lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin, superficial age spots hyperpigmentation, dull, dry, and drab skin.

Smooth Beam
The Smooth Beam laser combats the effects of aging and shallow acne scars by gently stimulating the production of collagen. It is also effective for treatment of acne by shrinking the sebaceous glands the cause acne. Smooth beam facial rejuvenation treatments also work wonders on crows feet and can postpone more aggressive treatments or prolong the results of previous treatments. In December 2004, the Smooth Beam Diode Laser was approved by the FDA for treatment of sebaceous hyperplasia, a common condition of the middle aged and elderly where yellow bumps up to 3mm in diameter form on the forehead and cheeks. After Dr. Kosarek treats these conditions, the skin texture becomes more even toned. It is safe on all skin types. 
 
Tattoo Removal
Dr. Kosarek uses laser therapy to remove unwanted tattoos over a series of treatments. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin, removing professional or amateur tattoos and multi-color or monochromatic tattoos.
